"TONE DISCRIMINATION" gives a Low Tone for nickels, pull-tabs, and most trash items, High Tone for most coins and silver. Can be adjusted so that pull-tabs give a broken sound using the adjustable discrimination notch.

On "Full Discrimination", the detector will reject trash and other unwanted items and emit a high tone on good targets. The Tracker IV will ground balance automatically in most types of soil to find gold nuggets in black sand. Will find large treasures at amazing depths.
