The Super High Powered Keene backpack dredges are equipped with a lightweight heavy-duty 2.5hp Honda 4 cycle engine. The Honda engine doubles the power of the previous models and is much quieter and smoother, produces an unbelievable 100 gallons per minute, and up to 160 feet of head pressure. The sluice box has been engineered for fine gold recovery and easy clean up. Keene also provides an aluminum frame with black inflatable pontoons (standard option) or grey marlex pontoons (extra freight applies to marlex). The inflatable pontoons may be rolled up into a small package for easy storage and transporting.

The model 2004 backpack dredge comes equipped with a power jet or optional suction nozzle. The power jet is ideal for most conditions and provides the most suction power. For extremely shallow water conditions, a suction nozzle is recommended. Due to the impressive power of this new engine and pump, it can be used to power a 4 inch submersible or a 2 1/2 inch gold dredge.
