Next detector classes: Saturday September 26th & Saturday October 31st. We realize it's Halloween but we finish up around 4:00 pm so you'll have plenty of time to go home and get ready for whatever evening fun you have planned. The cost is just $24.95. We will provide coffee and muffins in the morning and pizza and soda for lunch.

YOU WILL LEARN DETECTOR SET UP HOW METAL DETECTORS WORK BASIC DETECTING TECHNIQUE DEALING WITH HOT ROCKS TYPES OF GROUND TO LOOK FOR AND AVOID HOW TO GROUND BALANCE PROPERLY IMPORTANT ACCESSORIES AND THEIR USE TARGET RECOVERY TOOLS & TECHNIQUES WHERE TO SUCCESSFULLY FIND GOLD IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA, ARIZONA, and NEVADA PATCH GIRDING OTHER VALUABLES ( ARTIFACTS & METEORITES ) MANY HARD EARNED TIPS FINDING LOCATIONS TO DETECT USING THE INTERNET AND GPS TECHNOLOGY.

Half of this workshop is conducted in a classroom-type setting with slides, other illustrations, and demonstrations to heighten your understanding how and where to prospect for gold with a metal detector. The other half is conducted at a nearby desert location known to have yielded numerous nuggets to detectorist. The field section includes a test area with known targets at known depths, so that you can see how your detector performs in these situations and an area with planted targets, including a few real gold nuggets which you can keep if you find them. The field section will sharpen your hands-on skills. If you own a prospecting detector, bring it with you to the workshop. If you do not own a prospecting detector but would like to learn what electronic prospecting is all about, or if you are thinking about purchasing a detector and want an excellent opportunity to compare the various detectors listed above, then this workshop is for you.

YOU MUST PRE-REGISTER IF YOU WANT TO ATTEND ONE OF THESE THIS WORKSHOPS YOU MUST PRE-REGISTER AS WE HAVE LIMITED SPACE AND KEEP THE GROUPS SMALL SO THAT WE CAN OFFER PLENTY OF ONE-ON-ONE HELP.
