Our sluice troughs are perfect for the gold prospector wanting to build his own personalized gold recovery system or for miners with specific sluicing needs not covered by industry standard size boxes.
Our sluice box blanks feature either 2", 3", 4", or 5" tall sides. Each is well suited for an over/under type sluice, with a 2 or 3 stage box for your Dredge, Highbanker, Power sluice, Trommel or basic stream hand sluice.
Our D.I.Y. boxes are crafted from high grade 5052 Aluminum and come in your choice of thickness - either .063 or extra thick .080. Why consider a thicker gauge? Thicker aluminum will reduce the amount of flex in your box and minimize bowing and bending. Minimizing these problems helps seal the riffles to the matting/carpet which in turn improves your fine gold recovery. Thicker aluminum is especially important for extra wide or long boxes.

Miners moss sluice carpet is the ultimate matting for fine and coarse gold recovery in any sluicing or dredging application. It traps and holds gold inside loose woven vinyl fibers which are easily cleaned to recover the gold. Preferred by commercial mining companies worldwide, this moss sluice box carpeting is very durable and super efficient at trapping even the finest gold flakes. Miners moss is un-backed, the open matting is made from continuous coiled vinyl loop filaments. The open un-backed design makes it very easy to wash your gold concentrates out of the carpet. The oil resistant vinyl is also extremely durable and will last several seasons with proper storage. Shipping: Small sizes usually in stock.
